After graduating from Yale Law School, I worked as an associate at major law firms representing corporations in high stakes litigation. I spent the next two years at the Center for Justice and Accountability, where I brought impact litigation against human rights abusers. After eight years at the California Court of Appeal, I founded Sitara Human Rights Law as a sole practitioner in 2024 to return to my advocacy roots.
At Sitara, I handle impact litigation and appeals. My impact cases and faculty defense work deal with sensitive topics around protest, disciplinary due process, and academic freedom. I am deeply rooted in the San Diego legal community as past president of the South Asian Bar Association of San Diego and recipient of the 2023 San Diego County Bar Association Community Service Award.
